Ayurveda: is an ancient Indian system of medicine. It follows an integrated approach to the prevention and treatment of illness and tries to maintain or reestablish harmony between the mind, body, and forces of nature. It combines a number of approaches, such as changes in lifestyle, herbal remedies, exercise, and meditation, to strengthen and purify the body and mind and increase spiritual awareness.
Marma Therapy: is a form of therapy designed to stimulate “marmas” — 107 alleged vital, epidermal, invisible but palpable “junction points” between mind and matter. This treatment system was promoted by Joseph Kurian and is founded in Ayurvedic medicine concepts. Marmas are thought to be channels that regulate the flow of information, nutrients, and toxins throughout the human body. Marma therapy theory is that the “marma system” may become damaged through stress and improper nutrition, and that unblocking the marmas through stimulation restores health. Marma therapy includes the use of massage, aromatherapy, herbs, special oils, and yoga.
Homeopathy: Homeopathy is a safe and natural method to balance the body and allow the body to heal. Homeopathy stimulates the body’s ability to heal with very small amounts of natural substances. Homeopathic medicines are micro-dosed natural substances derived from botanical, animal or mineral sources. A specific homeopathic medicine dilution is obtained by a precise and controlled process of successive “homeopathic dilution”.
Essential Oils: Essential oils are volatile and liquid aroma compounds from natural sources, usually plants. Essential oils are not oils in a strict sense, but often share with oils a poor solubility in water. Essential oils often have an odor and are therefore used in food flavoring and perfumery. Essential oils are usually prepared by fragrance extraction techniques such as distillation (including steam distillation), cold pressing, or extraction (maceration). Essential oils are distinguished from aroma oils (essential oils and aroma compounds in an oily solvent), infusions in a vegetable oil, absolutes, and concretes. Typically, essential oils are highly complex mixtures of often hundreds of individual aroma compounds.
Bach Flower Remedies: Are a safe and natural method of healing. They gently restore the balance between mind and body by casting out negative emotions, such as, fear, worry, hatred and indecision which interfere with the equilibrium of the being as a whole. The Bach Flower Remedies allow peace and happiness to return to the sufferer so that the body is free to heal itself. The Bach Flower Remedies are made 100% naturally from spring water infused with wild flowers, either by the sun-steeped method or by boiling. The Remedies are hand produced exclusively in England. The Remedies contain 27% grape based brandy as a preservative.
Reiki: is a Japanese word meaning cosmic or universal lifeforce. Healing means restoring harmony to mind, body and spirit. By using gentle touch, the energy in the body will be balanced, thereby creating healing. Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui, a professor of theology who lived in the 19th century. Today Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have been trained in the traditions passed down from master to student. Reiki flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is possible to heal at any level of being: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Reiki natural healing may be used to energize when one feels drained and calm when one feels afraid.
