Therapy with Jane often evolves into a creative mix of mind-body approaches, cognitive and insight therapy, imagery, hypnosis, mindfulness, biofeedback, spiritual psychology, and solution focused therapy. To provide her best she keeps abreast of leading edge developments in neuropsychology, philosophy, spirituality, developmental psychology, education, and integrative medicine.

As a certified EMDR therapist Jane specializes in helping people recover from traumatic life experiences. Her commitment is to provide a safe place, valuable tools and a trusting relationship; necessary to recognize trauma, reprocess it, and integrate it. Through EMDR Dr. Hart shows you how to stay grounded in the present, process the trauma, and rebalance your body, senses, emotions, and beliefs about yourself and what you experienced.

Dr. Hart also collaborates with other practitioners to heal trauma and facilitate whole-person treatment. Her clients include academics, students, professionals, psychologists, medical practitioners and those in the creative arts.

In addition to her private practice, Jane teaches graduate psychology courses at Rosemont College and supervises counseling psychology interns at Caron’s addiction treatment center. She writes and presents internationally, leads retreats, gives keynotes, facilitates seminars and workshops and consults with organizations.

Dr. Hart’s current research and writing focuses on the meaning and experience of authentic healing. She founded and directs The Healing Bridge Project—a pioneer non-profit for providing informed, discerning support for those experiencing healing crises.
